MORE THAN A LOGO
Branding, implemented intentionally, is meaningful and expansive. Uncaged aims to create a reality where everyone feels safe to show up in the world as their “whole, wild, wonderful self.”
So, together, we developed branding that fully embodies that mission. From homepage to handouts, the characters and colorways we created are welcoming and confident.
A COMPASSIONATE “HELLO”
Print materials should empower a reader with understanding and access. Along with a branded greeting, business cards and brochures anticipate questions and concerns from community members. Through a QR code, contact information, and clear messaging, these materials provide answers at touchpoints on the page and beyond.
ENGAGING EDUCATION
Today, Thanksgiving is characterized by the collective expression of gratitude and the celebration of harvest. However, it remains rooted in violent colonialism and genocide toward Indigenous peoples—violence that continues in many forms to this day. As you’re celebrating with loved ones—as we hope you have the opportunity to do—we encourage you to also take a step toward combating the ugly history this holiday represents and the continued acts of violence that stem from it.
“We want to thank all of the incredible people who brought Boise Pride Festival to fruition this year. We are honored and grateful to have been a part of this festival that so beautifully celebrated and advocated for our LGBTQIA+ community.
We also want to thank each of you who visited us at the Uncaged booth! We had a blast engaging with you face-to-face and witnessing the confidence boost in so many of you who tried a short demo on the mat. We’re so excited to continue training with you! ????️????”
Research about inclusivity in the running community—conducted by OUTrun, a community organization with ambassadors around the country, including Boise—was recently shared in Runner’s World magazine.
“When we asked LGBTQ+ runners how welcomed and included they felt in the running community, 47 percent of men reported feeling ‘mostly welcome,’ while only 33 percent of women did. Rates were even lower for nonbinary, genderqueer, transgender, agender, and two-spirit runners…
